Affinda Winter Internship Program 2026 

Dates: 29 June – 24 July 2026 
Location: Melbourne CBD (opposite Fed Square), mostly on-site with some flexibility 
 
Who we are 
We're a 100-person, Australian owned, global AI company, headquartered in Melbourne and named one of the fastest growing technology companies in Australia. We partner with businesses across the globe to solve their urgent constraints via technology solutions – primarily AI education, products and services.  
 
What you'll do 
This is an example from our Affinda business unit (it'll be different in other parts of the company): 
 
You'll build a mini product on top of the Affinda platform and launch it. With a lot of support from our team and potentially the other interns, you'll do everything, including the coding (or vibe coding if you’re not a coder), the marketing, and find the first users. For instance, you might work with one of our customers to specialize the platform into a tool just for the trucking industry.  We think this is now possible to achieve in 4 weeks with AI and our support. You don't need to come up with the project idea – we'll help with that. But you'll own the launch. We'll train you up and help you along the way. 

Who we're looking for 
Smart, curious uni students who are proficient in AI and keen to join a nimble scale-up. We will primarily screen on academic results but still apply if you think you’ll stand out in other ways. We're less interested in perfection than we are in your energy and great ideas. 

• Final or penultimate year students preferred (any degree); recent grads also considered 

• Great at working with AI 

• A passion for creative problem solving 

The intern experience 
You'll be part of a cohort of up to 10 interns, working on your own projects but helping each other. It will also be a good experience socially. There are casual and permanent roles on offer for those who design high-quality, commercial solutions and evidence collaborative, thoughtful work processes.

Although we use AI throughout the business, we don't use it for interviewing. 
 
Compensation 
Paid internship based on applicable award rate.
